Google Finally Releases Updated Search Console Report
After decent period of deferment in releasing Google Console Report, Google finally unleashes it on 27th April which was stuck since 7th April. The reason for delay in releasing the reports is accounted to the effect of indexing bugs which took 6 days to resolve. Here are the screenshots of the reports taken on 7th April and 27th April respectively.
The coverage and enhancement reports are affected by it along with the URL inspection tool. Un-updated enhancement reports along with URL inspection tool not showing the live status popped up as major issue. It recorded major drop in the coverage report of the indexed pages.
The above graph shows major drop in indexed pages of the coverage report. According to Google, Search Console’s Tools were also surfacing with problems. Many pages encountered drop from their index which resulted in decrease in their ranking along with the conversion rates and traffic. According to the Moz’s estimation about 4% of the index was impacted.
According to the recent update, coverage report, mobile friendly report, AMP reports and enhancement report are up to date now. Although the fixation of URL inspection tool bug is still in gloom. But to a certain extent the problem has been fixed, and that’s an appreciative achievement.
